“Chris Colfer struck gold back in 2009 when he was plucked from obscurity in high school in Clovis, CA and landed on one of the most popular shows that year, Glee. His role as the openly gay student Kurt Hummel has garnered the actor fans and awards. He was also named one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential people in 2011. But it’s what he’s doing outside the halls of McKinley High School in 2012 that have us intrigued. He sold a pilot to Disney, he’ll star in Struck By Lightning, which he also wrote and has already been filmed. He has two children’s novels, The Land Of Stories, coming out and there’s also those pesky rumors of a Glee spinoff starring Chris and costar Lea Michele.”—What cambio has to say about Chris on their list of stars that will become even bigger in 2012 (via makeyouastar)
Everyone’s favorite and most musical gay couple, Glee’s Kurt and Blaine finally locked lips this year, bringing satisfaction to fans who’d agonized right along with Kurt over his months-long crush on Blaine. Kurt endured a lot before he got the guy—Blaine serenading another boy on Valentine’s Day, Karofsky’s bullying, and the stress of regionals—but it all paid off when he and Blaine officially became a couple (affectionately named Blurt by some).
You're right, but the thing is it's really unfair that Kurt's the only character in the show who has to work and work and nothing ever comes easily to him. I think people have the right to be upset about it. like, Rachel had the same condition as Kurt at the beginning of the season, but now, it seems like she has more chance of getting into that school. and especially after all the difficult time Kurt had in S2, people just want him to be happy and not struggle with something new every episode.
Everybody is entitled to their opinion and I was stating mine. People can get as angry and upset about Kurt’s storyline as they want. I’m not saying they can’t. However, for me personally, watching people rage about every little perceived slight or everything that happens to Kurt that doesn’t play out the way they want it is exhausting and (just to be clear, I’m ONLY speaking for me) it gets old. I want Kurt to have all the things as much as anybody else but it’s established in the show, and has been for 3 seasons now, that things don’t happen as easily for him as they do for some of the other characters. It’s nothing new and it’s probably not going to change. I don’t see it as fair or unfair just simply the way they choose to tell Kurt’s story. Also, I think he is generally happy. The one big uncertainty for him right now is college but in other areas of his life he seems to be happy.
“I also have a great deal of respect for a man named Chris Colfer, who plays gay high school student Kurt Hummel on Fox’s Glee. With his high voice and dramatic presence, Colfer would probably send Allen’s Last Man Standing character into paroxysms of discomfiture, not to mention any number of men like him. But Colfer insists, “I’ve tried being other people, but being myself suits me best.” This in the face of a history of bullying, not only on the screen but in his real life. How’s that for bravery and strength?”—
“The love scene between Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Blaine (Darren Criss) might have been tamer than conservative pundits who outright condemned the “Glee” series and its creators led us to believe, but the episode truly broke fresh ground in giving the couple’s “first time” the same emphasis as that of Finn (Cory Monteith) and Rachel (Lea Michele).”—The Huffington Post list the Best Gay Cultural Moments of 2012. Ok, so I decided to make this one under Read More cause it got too long and confusing. That way I won’t bother your dashes and at the same time I can change stuff if needed.
This time I tried to categorize the video links, but sometimes it’s hard to be accurate so I’m sorry if you don’t agree with something… This is just me trying to make things easer for you to find what you want ;].
I was thinking this too. And I remember Cory saying that a group from the cast were planning on going to see H2$ so they’ll probably go sometime in the first week (opening night?) before they have to be back in LA. :)
I don’t know how many of them are going to be there to see Darren during the week or opening night of H2$. His opening night is the first day Glee is back shooting. I figured the cast that are going to see him would be more likely to go on the weekend but maybe some of them won’t have to work for a day or two during the week and they’ll be able to go then. I’m going to have all kinds of feelings when we hear who was there to see him.
So…Chris is in NY with Ashley. Lea is having her New Year’s party tomorrow so I’m sure he and Ashley will be there. Darren’s going to be there because Lea said he was in some interview she did recently. I wonder who else from the cast will be there. I’m sure it’s going to be an awesome party!
Any news on how Glee plans to explain Darren Criss’ absence while he’s away dancing it up on Broadway? Are we going to have to sit through a Blaine-free episode at some point soon? — Samantha There will be one Blaine-less episode that will air in early February. Small price to pay, right?
